About DAS Bedok Learning Centre (BDK LC)
In 2002, DAS Bedok Learning Centre was moved from Ping Yi Primary School to the larger and better resourced facility in Fengshan Primary School at Bedok North Road. The DAS Bedok Learning Centre was officially opened by Mr Hawazi Daipi, Parliamentary Secretary-Ministry of Education on 2nd Feb 2002, Saturday.
Our enrolment has been flourishing ever since. Currently our student enrolment stands at 146. We are the first DAS centre to open in the East of Singapore and today are one of the three DAS Learning Centres in the East, the others being Parkway Parade and Tampines Learning Centres.
With our mission to help dyslexic people achieve, Bedok Learning Centre Educational Therapists and admin staff are committed to give our best. We strive to provide a continuous spectrum of services and programmes to meet the holistic, emotional and educational needs of the dyslexic community. Current programmes encompass both the Literacy programme ( incorporating writing, oracy and grammar curriculum) and the Math programme which kicked-start in February 2009. On an ad-hoc basis, we also tie up with schools to conduct learning programmes and organise hands-on activities for the students.
At DAS Bedok Learning Centre, we have a full time team of dedicated and trained Educational therapists and administrative assistants.
