Corina Lai

Mrs Corina Lai is the Chief Finance Officer at DAS since 1 November 2004. She is a chartered accountant (CPA) registered with the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA).

She has many years of working experience, started as an auditor with Price Waterhouse for 5 years before joining the business segment. In the next two decades, Corina worked with the Metro group, Cold Storage group, AsiaMedic and Popular Holdings. These were group of companies listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. Their revenues exceeded S$100 million each and at Cold Storage, Corina looked after the finance of 200 retail outlets. She was also its Project Manager responsible for the selection and implementation of its first scanning system in 1992.

Corina has a son who was diagnosed as dyslexic in 1993. At that time, not many people were aware of this condition and in order to understand the subject more, she joined DAS and was invited to be a member of the Executive Committee, holding the position of Treasurer for the period from 1993 to 2004. During that period, in addition to looking after DAS finance, Corina was active in the Parents Group and she was the facilitator for many sharing sessions. She has a passion for the Organisation and is enthusiastic in helping dyslexics achieve.
