"This course has provided me with a deeper understanding of students with various co-mobidities such as ADHD, autism, dyspraxia etc and not only dyslexia. I have a better grasp of what it means to have a learning difficulty and the implications to society. As a Pre-school Manager, I am able to better explain the suitability of the pre-school curriculum we’ve adopted for pre-schoolers at the DAS. We are able to close the gap, giving these children a better chance when they enter primary 1. This, I find is most satisfying for me.” |

“The course allows me to interact and have intellectual discussions with individuals from diverse backgrounds, mainly primary and secondary mainstream teachers, special school teachers, early childhood teachers and school leaders.
I also have heightened awareness of the various special needs support being provided in the mainstream and special schools. The knowledge I have gained in understanding the human lifespan development and the various developmental disorders has made me more sensitive to the needs of my students and better equipped me in supporting the Trainee Educational Therapists during their mentoring sessions.” |
