About DAS Tampines Learning Centre (TPN LC)
Having started its operations in January 2009, the Tampines Learning Centre (TPN) is one of the three DAS learning centres located in East Singapore. Together with the Bedok Learning Centre and Parkway Parade Learning Centre.
Located at a void deck, the centre is rather accessible to the public. It is easy for parents to drop by when they need to discuss issues with their child’s Educational Therapist (EdT), seek advice on bursary application procedures and requirements, submit documents and forms, as well as to make payments for their term fees. Additionally, it is convenient for them in terms of waiting for and picking up their children after class. Most of them wait for their children at the adjacent void deck, the carpark, the playground nearby, or at one of the surrounding coffee shops. There are also parents and Allied Educators from around the vicinity making impromptu visits to the centre to find out more about the learning programme. Furthermore, parents of children who have gone through the Induction Programme can feel free to come by to discuss the scheduling of their child’s DAS class.
The TPN Learning Centre now has an enrolment of approximately 192 students on the DAS Literacy and Pre-school programmes. The running of this centre is supported by two Administrative Staff and eight Educational Therapists.
