What is the Computerised Literacy Programme (CLP)?
The CLP is an intensive, individualised, and structured computer-based programme aimed at addressing important prerequisite areas of learning which dyslexics have difficulties with. The CLP is taught by Learning Support Officers or LSOs.
Is CLP mandatory?
We strongly encourage that all of our students go through the CLP as it forms part of the core curriculum delivered to our dyslexics at the DAS. Research has shown that memory is one of the main difficulties that dyslexics face. Going through the CLP will help address this important prerequisite area of learning prior to the start of the ELA programme.
Which centres are currently offering the CLP?
TPN, JPT and SKG
Why are there only 3 Learning Centres offering CLP?
We envisaged for the CLP to be offered at all of our learning centres in the near future. As the cost for setting up these tech centres can be high, we are only able to start this up at these 3 centres. For the time being, parents can choose to attend the CLP at any one of the 3 learning centres conveniently located near the public transport system.
How are your LSOs chosen?
Our LSOs are specially picked based on their ability to engage and perform their job function expertly.
I don’t think my child needs to go through Foundation Literacy. Can he go straight to ELA?
All students are required to attend the Foundation Literacy programme. The time that he spends there varies depending on his progress. We would highly encourage you to attend it as it helps to address the pre requisite skills to learning which will be beneficial in the long run.
What is Oracy Programme?
The Oracy programme aims to build the language and social development of children through interactive learning.
Why is Oracy important?

What is focused in the language component of the Oracy Programme?

What is focused in the Oracy Programme (Social Skills)?
- Initiate and understand social greeting.
- Using polite requests.
- Turn taking & asking questions.
- Understanding the use of questions.
- Managing and adapting Time.
- Following Rules and solving problems(if any)
- Humour
- Participating in a group (Shared activities)
