Dyslexia is a real condition, which can be diagnosed very early. Teachers are the frontline people in our efforts to help our dyslexics to achieve. Research shows that in a class of 40, there’s likely 2 dyslexic pupils. This section focuses on helping teachers identify students who may need help and how this can be arranged.

What can you do as teachers? Early identification and Early intervention is vital. |

We can only accept applications for an assessment from the parents or guardians of a child. Therefore if your student shows
some of these signs & symptoms, please explain to the parents and advise them to send their child for a psychological
assessment.
Dyslexia can only be formally diagnosed through an assessment by an educational or specialist psychologist.
We would require you to complete a 2-page questionnaire on your student, as part of the application for assessment.
