About DAS Training Services

The main goal of the DAS Training Services is to help improve the lives of children with dyslexia. We aim to achieve this through passing on specialist knowledge to educators, professionals and parents who work and interact with children with dyslexia.

What Makes Us Unique

We have established a unique position in the niche market of specialist education.

1. A Singaporean approach
We have a core team of local and locally-based lecturers who conduct courses & workshops relevant to the Singaporean educational environment.This is further facilitated by our close working relationship with the Ministry of Education.
2. Close working relationship with the Ministry of Education
The DAS is proud to be contracted by MOE to train the MOE Allied Educators (Learning and Behavioural Support) who support dyslexic students in primary schools and secondary schools.
3. Lecturers with wide practical experience
Allour lecturers are directly engaged in teaching dyslexic children. Their experience is enriched by working with the large numbers of dyslexic students, with a wide variety of learning differences enrolled on our learning programme. Click here to find out more about our lecturers.
4. A practical approach
We strongly believe in a holistic approach to teaching. Our training programmes provide both a theoretical and practical approach with an emphasis on teaching practicum. These practical experiences include class teaching, group and individual project work, role-play exercises, etc which are essential when working with children.

• Mainstream school teachers who support dyslexic children in their classrooms
• Therapists and specialist teachers who provide withdrawal support for dyslexics outside their mainstream class

Our Overseas Recognition

We have also increasingly travelled in the region and abroad to conduct training presentations in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, UK, USA and Cyprus.
