About DAS Woodlands Learning Centre (WDL LC)

Woodlands Learning Centre, one of the many branches of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore, was set up in January 2009 to meet the surging demands of dyslexic learners in the Northern region of Singapore. Being located just a stone’s throw from the Marsiling MRT station makes the centre accessible to many parents and students.

The Learning Centre occupies the void deck of a HDB block and is divided into three sections. The centre wing holds the reception office, a cosy reading area for the children and two classrooms, one of which is used for the preschool programme.

There are a total of ten classrooms and two assessment rooms in the other two wings. With these rooms available, we are able to provide a range of services to residents in the vicinity and neighbouring estates such as psychological assessment and speech and language therapy.

Since we opened our doors in the beginning of 2009, our team of dedicated Educational Therapists have reached out and served over 200 students and their parents. Thus far, we had the opportunity to organise a few events for the public and parents, namely Open Houses and a Parents Focus Group meeting. In May 2009, we were honoured to have the MP for Sembawang GRC, Mr Hawazi Daipi to officiate the opening of the learning centre.

We look forward to continuing to reach out and help dyslexic children reach their true potential through our specialized remediation classes.
