DAS Board of Directors for FY 2023-2024
Members and Terms of Reference of DAS Committees:
The DAS Board of Directors for FY2023-2024 was re-elected during the Annual General Meeting on 24 September 2022. Our Board is made up of volunteers who give their time and expertise for the benefit of helping dyslexic people and those with specific learning differences. Except for the CEO who is an ex-officio board member, all members are not paid any remuneration or director’s fees. The Board and the committees oversee the Dyslexia Association of Singapore and its subsidiaries, DAS Academy Ltd and DAS International Services Ltd.

Ms Wong May-Lyn

Ms Wong May-Lyn joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore as an Executive Committee Member in September 2018. She is a member of the programmes and services, human resources and fundraising sub-committees.
Ms May-Lyn was previously a language and literacy curriculum specialist. In her work at the Ministry of Education, she led project teams in developing both the primary school English and kindergarten language and literacy curricula. Her experience includes designing instructional materials and developing content for teachers’ professional development. Her work as a Principal Education Development Specialist at NTUC First Campus focused on the language and literacy curriculum for the preschool years.
Ms May-Lyn holds a Master of Education (English Language) from the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, and a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from the Wheelock College Centre for International Education, Leadership, and Innovation, Boston, USA.
Dr Zubin Daruwalla

Dr Zubin Jimmy Daruwalla is currently the Health Industries Leader, in PricewaterhouseCooper's, Singapore. After graduating with honours from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005, Zubin commenced and continued his practice of medicine in Dublin. He subsequently pursued a career in orthopaedic surgery and was awarded the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCSI) in 2008 followed by a Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery (MCh, Orth) in 2010. After working at the UK's John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, Zubin moved back to Singapore in 2012 and joined the National University Hospital as an orthopaedic resident. He has since successfully completed the National University Singapore (NUS) degree, Masters of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery (MMed, Orth) and was a senior resident and orthopaedic registrar before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Having published extensively over the last decade with more than thirty publications to his name, including being an invited author for Economic Times, Zubin continues to write actively with his current passion for medical education and digital health evident by his engagement as a consultant and advisor to start-ups both locally as well as internationally. As a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland's mentor network, Zubin also continues to be sought by medical students both locally as well as internationally for advice. As a healthcare thought leader and strong believer in collaboration, Zubin hopes to help bridge the gap between the technical and clinical sides within the realm of digital health. And in order to not neglect his love of providing good and affordable healthcare which he holds closest to his heart, Zubin continues to practice medicine on a part-time basis in addition to providing his services fortnightly at a clinic dedicated to the less fortunate.
Dr Daruwalla also serves on the DAS Finance, Fundraising and Programmes and Service Sub Committees.

Mr Addis holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the London School of Economics, University of London and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
